Hey @Chasingsunsets
no need to apologize at all! Was just nice to see you pop back up.
im surviving. Been having a fairly rough time the last couple of weeks- mostly as a result of a trigger at my sleep study. My sleep study was alright, the night one went ok. Took me ages to get to sleep though. And then the day one, the one testing for narcolepsy, oh boy. Every 1.5hrs I was told to get into bed and go to sleep, which I couldn’t. That was repeated 4 times. I was so tired but couldn’t sleep. I find out the results next week.
my new SW is mostly good, but it’s a bit challenging when she isn’t up here all week. She lives down south, there use to be an office there but that was closed, but she still spends 2 days a week down there cause I think she still has some clients down there. I also think maybe she has car troubles? She’s used the team leaders car and then one day said she had to see if she can get a car for a certain time. Friday she was off sick or something. Today she is usually up here on Mondays but she wasn’t. She does have a little bit of experience with eating disorders though and she took me to get my bloods done last week cause I’ve really been struggling and she could see that- she came to visit on a mission. But I was heaps grateful that she she asked the right questions and we ended up going, cause I knew that I needed to go but I was struggle to say anything.
travel 🧳 I love it! But I totally get how it can be difficult with anxiety. I like to go well prepared. My first overseas trip was to America when I was 20. Travelled alone and went and spent 4 mths at a summer camp as a counselor. It was the best! And then after camp I went to Canada and spent 3 mths there with some friends. Had a white Christmas. I’ve done a church missions trip to India and the Philippines. I sponsor a child through compassion and I got to meet her- that was a really beautiful experience, but the rest was a real eye opener to third world living. Then I got to take a client to NZ who had been a ward of the state for most of her life and I took her to spend time with her grandmother- the only family she really had anything to do with. That was pretty cool! Getting paid to travel. And it just happened to be in the same area that I had a few friends in, so while she was off doing stuff with her grandmother I spent time with friends! Honeymooned in Thailand. And then we have done 2 trips to the UK and Paris. One just me and my daughter, and we stopped off at California for 2 weeks and did Disneyland and stuff. Second trip was my mum, my daughter and me and we explored England more, hopped over to wales briefly. And then spent nearly a week in Paris and sore heaps more and did Disney paris- daughter and I only did a day trip to Paris the first time.
id love to travel more! As would my mum. Our trip to the UK/Paris was my mums first overseas trip. We have a cruise booked for the end of the year and my mum really wants to see the northern lights next.
that drive to do…. Yeah, that’s rough eh when it disappears. I hope it comes back for you real soon. And maybe you could get to Canada!
oh this turned out long! Sorry!
