No Change

I log on hoping things have changed but they still haven't. I still cannot read or chat in any thread. Doesn't matter if its new, old, mine.

Yes I've reported a technical issue, no I haven't heard back

Don't think I'm being rude, but no I cannot respond to you on here. Can only read it if I'm logged out.

Like a lot of others, being on here is a struggle. A once safe place doesn't feel that way anymore.

I've been trying to keep some hope but there's not much left.

Yes I've tried to do the right thing and reached out elsewhere for help.

Re: No Change

Hope your doing ok @Chasingsunsets

i spent some time downstairs today, mostly fixing my Lego brickheadz shelf. Then I have a pile of instructions manuals to put away but couldn’t fit them in the box so pulled them all out and sorted through them and made sure that I can scanned each set to get the 20 points for Lego credit.

I fluffed about a bit, put away the Alice book I got before we went away and took a photo of it. A lot of the really old books were a simple leather type bound cover and maybe they might have had a dust cover, but all my old copies mostly are missing the dust cover. But this one I got, it’s got a picture on it, which I really love. And a sweet message inside.

Re: No Change

Hey there @Bow! Just like with snowie, big apologies coming from my way to you re my very late reply! How are you going?

Yess your sleep study, how did that go? I bet that shower was so good after!

Wow I love the book you got!! It’s lovely and very special that it has a message in side.

How’s everything going with your support worker? It’s really nice to hear you went out with her, how cool that you have both been to London! I’d love to go there one time, really should have gone when we went to Paris but didn’t have enough time. Nah I haven’t travelled a lot I get anxious with new things so just prefer to say where I know. I’d really like to go to Canada one of my family members is over there at the moment so think it would be a great opportunity. But I don’t know just don’t have any drive for anything much actually. It’s a bit of an interesting space to sit. Trying to work out why I lost all my drive I guess, it’s happened over a bit of time. Have you travelled much? I’d love to hear if you have and want to share at all. There is so much out there isn’t there 😊 probably going to loose my reply button so will post this now 😊

Re: No Change

@Bow Ah loosing the button is a bit tricky. I’d really love to get the function back on seeing who supports posts! That would be good 🤩. Oh yeah the advocacy bit in me is interesting, re in life. I generally hate creating any waves actually, makes me really uncomfortable but I have always been someone who thinks of others and am passionate in just calling it when something doesn’t feel like it’s working or if something maybe could be done better. Unfortunately just not skilled enough for what I want say and so rarely lands properly. Always seems to go left or right instead of where it’s meant to land. Well that’s how it feels. Never had a voice when I was young for a very long time. Had to learn to speak up from a young age but back then I did it to make myself a target to guide away stuff towards other people and I’d cop it. It’s interesting to reflect on. I think at the end of the day with anything I say it’s generally not for me, I have no ego, not for power or anything like that just purely for it to benefit others, simple as that. Sometimes when you speak up is to expect to be taken down a peg after, except I have no pegs in my basket. If anyone asked I’d give them all away anyway. I definitely had no voice in my mental health history. That’s interesting again to reflect on, I was honestly rolled by health professionals good and proper makes it hard to trust HPs now too. I end up confused on who’s there to help or hurt it’s interesting right. I think you have less of a voice if it’s mental health vs physical health as I have both and do feel I have a bit more of an equal standing when it has been physical health discussions. loosing my button will send now and continue below 😊

Re: No Change

Hey @Chasingsunsets

no need to apologize at all! Was just nice to see you pop back up.

im surviving. Been having a fairly rough time the last couple of weeks- mostly as a result of a trigger at my sleep study. My sleep study was alright, the night one went ok. Took me ages to get to sleep though. And then the day one, the one testing for narcolepsy, oh boy. Every 1.5hrs I was told to get into bed and go to sleep, which I couldn’t. That was repeated 4 times. I was so tired but couldn’t sleep. I find out the results next week.

my new SW is mostly good, but it’s a bit challenging when she isn’t up here all week. She lives down south, there use to be an office there but that was closed, but she still spends 2 days a week down there cause I think she still has some clients down there. I also think maybe she has car troubles? She’s used the team leaders car and then one day said she had to see if she can get a car for a certain time. Friday she was off sick or something. Today she is usually up here on Mondays but she wasn’t. She does have a little bit of experience with eating disorders though and she took me to get my bloods done last week cause I’ve really been struggling and she could see that- she came to visit on a mission. But I was heaps grateful that she she asked the right questions and we ended up going, cause I knew that I needed to go but I was struggle to say anything.

travel 🧳 I love it! But I totally get how it can be difficult with anxiety. I like to go well prepared. My first overseas trip was to America when I was 20. Travelled alone and went and spent 4 mths at a summer camp as a counselor. It was the best! And then after camp I went to Canada and spent 3 mths there with some friends. Had a white Christmas. I’ve done a church missions trip to India and the Philippines. I sponsor a child through compassion and I got to meet her- that was a really beautiful experience, but the rest was a real eye opener to third world living. Then I got to take a client to NZ who had been a ward of the state for most of her life and I took her to spend time with her grandmother- the only family she really had anything to do with. That was pretty cool! Getting paid to travel. And it just happened to be in the same area that I had a few friends in, so while she was off doing stuff with her grandmother I spent time with friends! Honeymooned in Thailand. And then we have done 2 trips to the UK and Paris. One just me and my daughter, and we stopped off at California for 2 weeks and did Disneyland and stuff. Second trip was my mum, my daughter and me and we explored England more, hopped over to wales briefly. And then spent nearly a week in Paris and sore heaps more and did Disney paris- daughter and I only did a day trip to Paris the first time.

id love to travel more! As would my mum. Our trip to the UK/Paris was my mums first overseas trip. We have a cruise booked for the end of the year and my mum really wants to see the northern lights next.

that drive to do…. Yeah, that’s rough eh when it disappears. I hope it comes back for you real soon. And maybe you could get to Canada!

oh this turned out long! Sorry!
