Hey everyone,

How was your day. I was just wondering what you are doing to wind down tonight. This will be a regular Wednesday night chat. I hope you will jump in and get involved.

After I have done a couple of hours on SANE I am going to watch some TV to wind down. Today I went for a very long walk so I am tuckered out. I might even go to bed early. I have Tafe tomorrow afternoon. I have to remember to be there by 12 for a mentoring appointment. I get the morning off because my role play is not until next week.

Looking forward to hearing what you have all been doing today and what you will do to wind down.

Awww. Hope you are okay. How do you 'accidentally' buy a teddy @Oaktree ?

@tyme

Well, I went into K-mart with my support worker on Monday to buy a T-shirt. I saw the teddies then and wanted one but didn't buy it. Then today I was back in K-mart again with hubby to buy him a new belt. I saw the teddies and told him that I was very tempted and told him about some of the money going to charity. He said grab hold so I did. So now I have a teddy lol. I will take a photo and upload it later. He is very cute in a little Christmas outfit, and he has the year sewn on his paw.

Ooh. That's tempting! @Oaktree Then you'll be tempted to buy one each year @Oaktree !

I hope you are doing something nice for yourself.

I just plan to spend another half an hour here on the forums. Then I will have a hot chocolate or something and relax. I hope to get all my prac hours done by the end of next week. But I will still be here as a Peer Guide after it ends. I think my tenure goes until the end of the year.

Well it's Wednesday again. What would you like to chat about tonight?

Today I went on an outing in the country. I had a yummy chicken, cheese, spinach and pesto roll on sourdough and I bought my husband a jar of orange marmalade. They had all different kinds of marmalade but he just wanted the boring one. We also had morning tea in a park there. It was 34 degrees in this town today. Felt hot! Anyway...it's hump day and we are on the way to the weekend. Hubby is having surgery tomorrow.

Re: Wednesday Wind-down

That sounds like such a lovely day @Oaktree ! Trust him to pick the 'safe' marmalade option.

I don't know anything about your hubby's surgery, but I hope it goes according to plan. Please look after yourself too!

@tyme

Thanks, Tyme. Hubby is having his lap band out after 20 years of having it. Apparently, they usually last half that time. It is causing issues so it must come out. I have one too so I am wondering how long I can go before I need mine out too. They are doing it keyhole so it should be a relatively straight forward thing, but his blood pressure drops under anesthetic so naturally I am a bit worried. I always worry when he has to go under. It should be fine though; the hospital and the anesthesiologist are aware of the issue so I know that they will look after him accordingly. It's still a bit stressful for me. Hubby isn't stressed or worried at all.

Re: Wednesday Wind-down

Really??? Wow! I think they don't do lap bands as much anymore? @Oaktree How is hubby today? And how are you?
