What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share đŸ«¶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to đŸ€Ł

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

@Chasingsunsets the praying mantis was very cute, actually found about 5 that day. The roses do smell beautiful, I love the colours of them. It sounds amazing where you are, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Things have been very up and down for me, just plodding along. Spider webs always fascinate me, the detail is amazing and spiders are the best at camouflaging!

Wow 5 prey mantis’s that’s awesome @MissGremlin you must have a lovely garden for them đŸ„°. Nothing better than a good smelling roses hey! 😊. Good on you for riding that wave, definitely know that feeling. I hope for better for you my friend. Oohhh yesss spider webs they are so amazing! Never paid a heap of attention to th until the last couple of years. My favourite are the 3D ones! Like the dome web spider does an awesome web too, just so impressive for a little creature be able to build something like that!! đŸ€©. How’s your week looking?

@Chasingsunsets there's a plant in my garden that they seem to love so there's always lots around. Good smelling roses are the best! I've never seen a dome web spider, might have to google to see what they look like. My week has been very full on but I did have some good news about a service closing my case today which was a huge relief, I've got a sleep test booked for the 26th and I'm waiting for a referral to be accepted for the cardiologist.

That’s so good @MissGremlin! Love seeing animals around! Now sure if your plant loves them though hehe, are they snacking on it đŸ€­. The dome webbed spider is something special however there webs I think are so cool and sometimes they all join up and can make massive ones! I have seen a huge one which is like more than a meter which has a few in it. How impressive! That’s great news that service is closing your case, I’m here celebrating with you đŸ’ȘđŸ«¶đŸ€©. I sure it’s a big relief. Hope your other appointments go well but must feel good they are booked in and planned. 💛

@Chasingsunsets I mean there's plenty of the plant for them to be snacking on, it's healthy so they don't seem to be doing any damage to it 😂. They sound very fascinating and the webs sound impressive. Thankyou sweet, it's been such a stress having them involved again so I'm really glad they're closing off. It's nice to have that appointment booked and I'm hoping it goes ok. I hope you have a good rest of your night sweet ❀.

Hehe that’s great that the plant is coping win win I say @MissGremlin â˜ș. Yeah the webs are awesome I’ll try take a better one of the pan web spider tomorrow to give you a better pic of there web if you like 😊. Glad they are closing it off now, less weight on your shoulders now. Will be keen to hear how your other appointments go if you ever want to share always a tag away of course.
