Hello

Hello

Hello @Shaz51 @Naturelover @ChasingSunsets @TAB @MissGremlin and everyone. Sorry I can't remember a lot of usernames and I'm not sure notifications are working.

Sending greetings and commiserations. My account has had some bugs - still does - but I'd like to share group 🫂 hugs

Re: Hello

It was a sunny morning, blue sky with wispy white clouds, really nice weather for this time of year @Chasingsunsets . Really bad day otherwise but I won't dwell on it.

Saw a mudlark today, the first in months. I think they're more properly called magpie larks.

Hope you & your dog are getting some nice walks.

Re: Hello

Hi @Dimity you paint a nice pic of the sky! Sorry about the rest of the day. Always here if you want to chat about anything.

oh magpie larks there are nice birds but they dive bomb Indi 🐶 when we walk around sometimes. Glad they go for her and not me 🤣. We went to the beach tonight we haven’t been in ages it was nice. The clouds were fluffy! What’s on for your week?

Re: Hello

Not sure... but I've been given a new exercise program (ouch). And I'll have to try to get help setting up a different phone. The garden always needs work...

I read there's subantarctic seabirds off the east coast, pretty amazing if you've seen any (I guess poor things could be the ones with bird flu) @Chasingsunsets

Re: Hello

@Dimity Oh yeah, well hopefully something in your new regime you like more than the rest! I have recently got into Pilates, unfortunately for me I am unequal in the strength in my legs and a bit twisted in the hips and torso due to a scoliosis so even though I am left sided dominant that’s my weaker side and only began noticing it last year. Doesn’t make sense to me but hopefully I can improve somewhat. You’ll have to let me know how you go if you want I don’t mind chatting about this type of stuff ☺️

a new phone sounds exciting!!! But I know the start of something new can be challenging.

I have heard about the birds. Been a couple of states now that have sick birds no good hey!! I find migratory birds so interesting!

Re: Hello

Core strength seems a big thing in Pilares which is meant to help back problems my physio told me. Hope.you find it good.

It's early days yet for me @Chasingsunsets with my new exercises.

Yes migratory birds are wonderful. I don't know much about them except we need to look after all parts of their flyways.

Re: Hello

evening @Dimity hows your evening? I am doing a thing called clinical Pilates on the reformers. I have to build strength but I think also proprioception, I am not actually sure my brain knows where my body is aligned, it been interesting! So mostly just working on the most basic stuff atm not even actually exercising yet I don’t think if that makes sense lol.

I don’t know much about migratory birds either but find it all fascinating. I love watching David Attenborough and all wildlife shows. Actually today on a walk I saw a guy taking pics with a big nice camera. I walked past and I asked him what birds he was looking at. It was a type of Robin, so that’s cool I learnt another bird that I didn’t know before ☺️

Re: Hello

@Chasingsunsets some Victorian birders have been posting robin pics... yellow, flame, pink breasted. Very cute.

I haven't tried reformer pilates, it seems a bit intimidating. My new exercises are working unfamiliar muscles so I'm feeling it.

It's chilly here. I've heard snow is expected in the high country. Good for skiers I guess.

Re: Hello

I hear some really pretty birds in vic @Dimity 🥰. How cool would it be to find a secret little area in the country side and just see them land where we are almost part of the trees or landscape!

haha I didn’t know much about reformers either 🤣 I actually didn’t think I’d do Pilates either but here I am 🤣🙊. Just need something to focus on my weak muscles which is actually my dominant side - go figure 🙈🤪. I don’t understand it myself actually. How are you finding your regime? Hope it’s a nice “feel” a feel of getting stronger 😊.

oh snow hey! I have never seen snow 🤭 ever hehe. Do you like the cold 😊

Re: Hello

I think some of the field naturalists must do just that @Chasingsunsets - sit and wait for the birds.

I'm not used to my exercises yet. They're still a big effort.

Re your handedness, it threw me when I went blind on my dominant side. Hopefully if you can keep working on strengthening your weak side it will help, or some of the habituation might change and the ability of your nondominant side might improve. I've adjusted to some aspects.

Cold is ok if you can rug up. I've only been in snow a couple of times but skiing is a big thing (and an expensive one) for some people. I don't like high heat and humidity.

Do you have any nice walks with Indi planned for the weekend?

Re: Hello

@Dimity Haha yes some are very serious and wear the funny attire to blend in to the scrub 🤭. Worth it though they would get some awesome shots hey!

I need to rebook my sessions only had 2 so should get onto that. Do you do your exercises at home or at a place somewhere with an instructor 😊.

yess I wonder if I’d like the snow ☺️. My brother loves it !

Not much for us this weekend, how about you? Lovely connecting 🙏
