Family separation

Family separation

Hi it's been a tough fathers day for me second year without hearing from my adult kids after the nasty marriage breakdown and divorce involving domestic violence against me by my ex wife. I am very down because l care and think about my kids every day and l have a granddaughter that l haven't seen for 2 years also. I feel my ex wife is controlling the kids having turned them against.me .I worry about my granddaughter growing up without her grandfather because my daughter is too selfish to allow her to see me. I have never hurt anyone but l feel like l am.such a bad dad and l hate to think what crap my granddaughter is being told.It takes away meaning to my life. I doubt the situation will ever improve. Why why do people still hurt me???

Re: Family separation

Hi @Leeanne1 yes it's difficult l feel sorry for my granddaughter because she is going to be bought up being told lies and innuendo by my daughter and ex wife. It's a pity the people who cause us the pain can't be somehow held responsible for their actions

Re: Family separation

Thanks @Leeanne1 I really appreciate your support. I have no family members to talk to about anything I lost my dad just over 2 years ago and mum hasn't spoken since the funeral and has sold the family home home in Melbourne and moved to Queensland to live with my estranged brother.

It can be difficult when there is no one to talk too . That way having this safe place to come and connect with others

Feeling feel to message me any time, I have no family that I talk too .I see my mother but I don't tell her anything cause I don't want her to worry. I lost my father 4 years ago and my mother in law 6 years ago. I talk my old sister now and then.

Hi @Leeanne1 l appreciate your support. I am still a mess not just the issues with my kids but l still have feelings for a lady l was in a brief relationship with earlier this year we were living together and she ended it suddenly without reason and moved out. I got a house mate to share the house now she wants to move and l can't afford the rent alone..l have started looking for someone else but l can't handle the constant uncertainty with everything else l am dealing with. Maybe it's just l am a total failure in life.

John74 you didn't fail at all. It can be hard believe. I live in a two bedroom apartment my rent is high but I don't want to share with anyone. I struggle now and then, I worry about having a place at the end of every lease.

As for a relationship you will find someone that will want to be with you. You sound like a kind and caring person

Thanks for your reply. My housemate blew up at me before again. I don't need the stress l am receiving counselling from two mental health professionals regularly and will need life long care. I have another potential housemate interested hopefully it happens depending on the agent etc. I don't like being accused of things l haven't done it hurts..l very grateful that are are able to listen to me Thanks.

Everyone needs someone to talk too , it's not nice to have someone to blow up at you for no reason . And accuse you of something that you didn't do no one needs stress especially when you have so much going on.

I have you get a housemate that don't cause a problems.
