Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

@Dimity

"anecdotes as antidotes" lol Human life is very story based, and when there are healing images or words ... I guess we treausre them ... my concentration is not as good for reading these days. Maybe I will get back to it ... I just tend to dip into books briefly....these days .... did some sight reading at the piano today...

I am mindful ... you are also going through a lot atm.

@Emelia8 Here on the forum is the first time I had felt a sense of belonging. I still remember your old trauma thread. Being able to be real about the hard stuff, and feeling seen, and then I feel it is possible to get into the lighter and more optimistic thoughts and feelings.

I had an interesting morning, where I was feeling a little overwhelmed by a lady socially, could step away, but not totally withdraw from the group, and mention it without making a big deal, and then later she realised, apologised and we kept talking. Stuff like that had never happened before. SO something is shifting .."in the universe" for me. My change is that I am more vocal and better able to process 'in the moment". Being on the forum these yeas has helped me learn.... not.... to clam up and withdraw

Thank you all

Sending a cooee to @Zoe7 and @Faith-and-Hope

Re: Fragile

Good for you @Appleblossom , when connections can develop organically with give and take... you can live up to your name and blossom. I vaguely remember you had an old thread called something like sociology 101.

Yes I'm still battling. I find myself unduly reactive sometimes eg to forum problems. I'm working through old records which can be triggering, and my family situation is far from resolved.

My concentration and eyesight aren't brilliant for reading. My piano lid has been unopened for a verrrrry long time.

If you can keep quietly humming along as a continuo while others have the dramatic flourishes you should get by... and you're still accompanying them.
