Grieving the life of parents and a son who are still alive
I have no idea where to start hey just my son betrayed me in the worst possible way last year and I have suffered from it and now lost parents over it 💔

Hi @grievinglife
It sounds like you’re carrying an enormous amount of hurt from what happened with your son, while also grieving the loss of your parents. Having those experiences overlap could feel incredibly heavy, particularly when the betrayal has continued to affect you long after it happened. I'm really glad you’ve reached out and given yourself somewhere to put some of what you’re carrying.
Take care ✨🌻

Hi @grievinglife, welcome to the forums
I’m really sorry you’re going through something that sounds so painful, especially having experienced further loss with your parents as well. It sounds like you’ve been carrying a lot since last year.
You don’t have to know where to start or have everything figured out. Take your time and share as much or as little as feels comfortable for you.
Do you have any supports around you at the moment, or would it be helpful if we pointed you towards some of the supports that are available?

hi @SunsetSunrise
yes it isn't easy and I get blame for everything my narcissist father is blaming me for everything like always cant do right by my parents but not fault my at all just people need to learn to take accountability for there actions and stop blaming other people for everything I chose to walk away from my parents as I couldn't even get my son to talk to me and admit why he did what he did to me and my parents told me to shut my mouth and stay away from it so I left cant do it no more there toxic and im better off with that out of my life and with this is grief you know like I'm my sons mother and loosing a lot of his life now his now 15 and I miss everything it hurts and so much damage has been done by him I tried to forget it and move on like my parents told me to get but you cant just move on when a child refuses to even talk to you when all I want are answer why he lied about me so I guess I have to take this as a answer and move foreward somehow so I still have my 11 year old son and I let him go see his nan and pop and brother I wont refuse that its between me and them he doesn't need to be involved sorry for long reply I'm not sure what's allowed in here and not so left out alot

Hi @grievinglife ,
I’m sorry I’m only getting back to you now, I’ve just caught up on your message from a few days ago
It sounds like you’ve been carrying so much lately, with the grief and everything that’s happened with your family, while also trying to focus on your youngest and study. I can understand why this week has felt so overwhelming
I’m glad you’ve got your appointment on Monday and that you’ve been able to reach out for support here. It can also take time to feel comfortable enough to really open up with a counsellor, so it’s okay to take that at your own pace
For now, just getting through the weekend one moment at a time is enough. I hope Monday gives you a chance to talk through some of what you’ve been carrying 💛

I’m really glad you were able to get some support at the mental health centre when things became too much, and that they were able to give you some ideas to help. It sounds like you’ve been trying really hard to keep reaching out, even when some of those experiences haven’t gone well
I’m also glad you’re not sitting at home alone right now and that you’re still holding onto your Sane appointment. I hope you’re able to take things gently this week and see how things go with reconnecting with your old peer worker @grievinglife 💛
