How do you keep going when everything feels exhausting?
Hi everyone. I’m not really sure where to begin, but I’m tired of struggling with ADHD, complex PTSD, anxiety and depression. I’m tired of not sleeping, feeling overwhelmed, and trying so hard to make life work when even ordinary things can feel incredibly difficult.
I’m getting professional support, including counselling and medication, and I’m genuinely trying to help myself. But lately it feels as though the more I understand myself and why I struggle, the worse I seem to become. Becoming more aware of everything hasn’t brought the relief I hoped for—it can make the pain and exhaustion feel even harder to ignore.
It feels like I put so much effort into getting through each day, but I’m still exhausted and unsure how to build a life that feels manageable. I’d really like to hear from people who understand.
What helps you get through the hardest days? How do you cope when several conditions are affecting you at once? Has understanding yourself ever made things feel worse before they became better? Have you found anything that makes sleep, daily life, or the future feel a little more manageable?
I’m not expecting anyone to have all the answers. I think I just need to know that I’m not alone, and hear what has helped other people keep going.
Thank you for reading.
