Elements

Elements

Shout out to @SmilingGecko for the link that was the catalyst for this writing. Thanks for the inspiration my dear.😌

Ignis, Terra, Aer, Aqua

Before you stands four pillars.

Combined, they hold the power to define you, scattered, they disperse into the ether

like sparks from a wuthering flame, unbound…unproductive.

Yet, within the whole, they hold ineffable strength, wisdom and clarity...increasingly, in a world which holds less and less value for meaning and depth.

Before you are four keys to doors within these pillars, which you must unlock and enter through, in order to find your way ‘home.’

The first pillar - Ignis…fire.

Your passion, your drive…it forms the foundry of your character - what you stand for, what you believe deeply, what you care most about and will not compromise with. This pillar is like a golden key that unlocks your very essence. It reminds you of who you really are, stripped bare, at your core. Find this key and you will unlock your inner fire.

The second pillar - Terra, is Earth.

Your care for others and the world around you. Most importantly, especially when overwhelmed, your care of yourself and your own wellbeing. You cannot faithfully care for others when your own emotions, your own nature is depleted. Rest and recuperation must balance hard work and dedication, lest you suffer in the mists of confusion and exhaustion. Your authentic self, without filter, without mask is what you should seek in your private moments. Remember, the mirror reflects both outward and inward.

The third pillar - Aer, refers to Air.

Your ideas, your creativity, the very life you breathe into what you believe to be most important…this forms the third key. What lights you up and ignites your truest joy? Where do you feel most free, most alive? As we age, most of us slow, become set and rigid. Yet life is not this way…life evolves over time, it seeks growth, it cycles through change. Life and everything you see is in a constant state of motion. It is complex and beautiful, yet in concept, simple. Unlock the door to this corridor and find your inner youth once more, and unlock your true spirit.

The fourth and final pillar is Aqua..Water.

Life is largely about the balance of forces. Yes, we must ignite our inner fire! Yes, we must remain grounded and whole within ourselves. Yes, we need to find our true, unfiltered self, free from the masks and filters the world demands of us. Yet, we must also maintain a certain caution, lest we be led astray by forces not in our best interest. In a very real sense, water surrounds us as a part of life too. It is in the very air we breathe, and makes up at least 60 percent of our bodies. It is in us, of us, and with us, but mostly unseen by us. There is a hidden power to water we do not yet fully understand. We do know that it responds to us emotionally, and that our intentions influence the water around us. Without water, we cannot survive, so it is vital to maintain our lifeforce emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically.

The secret to life lies not at the extremes where most look, but in the middle…in the balance of things. Nosce te ipsum: Know thyself.

Re: Elements

Thankyou for this wonderful analysis @Icaruslanded my elements need some attending to. I've been learning how to do pore breathing for health but dont know quite how to do it for balancing the elements.

On the Solancha website I gave you it had a free on demand pore breathing audio sent to your inbox. I have yet to receive my audio. Its meant to show you how to use pore breathing to balance the elements in your body.

Since then have been poking around the internet and have found a Chi Gung you tube channel that gives an intro to pore breathing for health but he said you can draw anything into your pores from the ether like luck and even wishes so I presume you can do that with the elements as well. That is what the Solancha website says. So would love a pore breathing meditation for the elements. I may check ChatGBT

I must admit my body feels lighter breezy and more spacious after doing pore breathing. The contraction and stiffness in the skin, muscles and fascia after a lifetime of living are gone. I've had a lot of somatic bodywork in the past but this is like magic & produces an added benefit. I used to have a type of bodytherapy an offshoot of rolfing as well as DIY myofascial release which I self administered so I could to releasing as my own pace as it can be a little too painful and vigorous having it done by a practitioner.

So what I'm going to do is keep my journal and in my entries ponder how balanced my elements are in day to day life. I would be grateful for any improvements.

By the way I did check out your suggestion of that author. I went to her amazon page yesterday and perused her books. I read a lot of the reviews of her work however she doesnt seem to go into too much intricate details about metaphysics according to some people. Was that your experience with her work? She had a book that picqued my interest on the ajna chakra but I read the contents and found some free online references. I also learned a new ajna mudra so will incorporate it into my morning routine 🦎

Re: Elements

Hi @SmilingGecko

So in regards to pore breathing, it really is just a fancy way of visualizing with specific intent. Hypnosis sessions will do the same thing only potentially deeper, depending on the level of somatic state you can go to. One common thing I do myself and have done for others is to induce a hypnotic state then release stress through visualizing white light entering the body as clean energy and fulvous (yellowish brown) as the toxic stale kind going out on the exhale. Another powerful technique is to visualise expanding your body outward, feeling lighter, more relaxed and clearer with each expansion. Meditation is a very light of trance. Hypnosis, on the other hand, enables deeper, more sensory-rich experiences that access the subconscious directly - the source of all change.

In the story, I have taken the four elements of fire, earth, air, water used them as positive anchors to illustrate a process of unlocking potential. If you think about it, we all have different levels of each as a baseline and we can, with effort, create profound change within by first breaking the process into its component foundationa and then rebuilding stronger with the 'materials' we choose. There is, of course, a fifth hidden element of aether (ether) - our own deeper consciousness, our subconscious and our higher consciousness which run our programs and act as inspiration for our continued evolution respectively. I hope that makes sense?

Dr Jill has some good programs and a number of helpful books. She talks a lot about ANTs - Automatic Negative Thoughts - and the brainwaves patterns on her audios can really help. They are essentially subliminal (operate below conscious awareness). You can check her stuff out here:

Re: Elements

@Icaruslanded I've done some hypnosis via audio. There was a man I used to follow out of the UK. I got lots of good results from them. But yes the pore breathing is quite good. The visualisations you use I have tried similar I have read you can clear your energetic state with white light throughout your body. I learned that from a presentation on how to make a scalar wave to clear energy as well as using white light. I checked out Dr Jill's course. Its something I cant afford with the cost of living going up. My solar power isnt working properly and my inverter keeps shutting down causing banging on the panels at night. I've allready had it checked and they couldnt find anything and no it wasnt a possum scurrying across the roof. I reset my inverter yet again yesterday and still banging noises at night. I will have to contact them again as I suspect theres something wrong with my inverter. Thanks for sharing your knowledge I really appreciate it I have bookmarked Dr. Jill's page and may consider it at a later stage. The exchange rate isnt good either between AU and USA but at the moment I'm living under austerity measures with hyperinflation

@SmilingGecko

Hey hey! yes I'm certainly hearing you about the cost of everything lately and I'm in somewhat of the same position myself so yes I do understand. Fortunately most of her stuff is quite cheap even now but I'm sure you'll get to it when the time is right. Speaking of hypnosis, Glenn Harrold is very good and his stuff is very reasonable as well - only a few dollars each program and he has loads of programs to choose from. The only thing I would say is that most of them don't really put you into a very deep state of hypnosis.Tthat being said,it is generally not completely necessary and the light state will still accomplish the desired effect, however going deeper does help and there are other hypnotists with longer programs that work better. Rick Collingwood is really good, most of his go for almost an hour but are highly effective if you're after quicker results.

As far as using white light (imagined) to heal yourself, yes it's a very effective method over time but like anything else, when it comes to spirituality and holistic methods, it does take some time and faith, as well as persistence, to create the right effect. Ergo, I would be using a combination of different things in order to achieve the results you desire.

You're very welcome by the way, I'm always happy to share my knowledge with anyone who's interested and I hope you're able to get your benefits soon. I'm in a similar position with my car being off the road and it's driving me crazy to be honest not having a car available to at the moment and having to rely on buses and trains is a major pain in the butt. At least I can get around so I need to be at least. Have a great day my friend

Re: Elements

@Nala2022 I need your input. I messaged Jynx and told her I had an unfinished draft on this "Elements" discussion. I really wanted to post it here in response to Icaruslanded's message it but could not find anything in my settings to show an unfinished draft. Is there any way I can retrieve what I typed and failed to post?

Re: Elements

Hi @SmilingGecko I don't think drafts are saved anymore. I have already raised this with the team but for now, you may have to rewrite unfortunately. Sometimes I use a word doc or notes app if I'm writing a longer post - just in case ;)

Re: Elements

Thats a good idea @Jynx I have never heard of word app but can do a document next time around. A shame really I wrote a longer post. Very annoying. How are you by the way? I hope you are doing well. I noticed you got promoted from peer to moderator - congrats! Always lovely to see your jovial posts on SANE. You have such an open and engaging way with people. Wishing you a good evening!

Re: Elements

Hi @SmilingGecko and @Jynx , same has happened to me once when I just had my phone handy. I normally type directly into Pages (Apple equivalent to Word) then copy paste - nothing worse than losing it especially if its a long post (mine was!)

Re: Elements

@SmilingGecko Yes it's very annoying, especially if you accidentally click outside of the text box!! Hopefully they can find a way to get drafts back again :)

Aww you are so sweet <3 Appreciate it, feel very seen ^_^

Wishing you well on this fine Wednesday!
