Should I stay or should I go?
Hi! Thank to anyone who reads this. :)
I'm feeling confused about continuing with my current job. I started about nine months ago and at the beginning it was great! But now a few red flags are creeping out... The most major one is that I've done some great work, had huge breakthroughs with clients and recently took on the role of lead where I had about 18 clients relying on me, other trainers, and even some managers. I've had no recognition or acknowledgement for my work. It's been months now. Even other trainers have mentioned my work and are amazed that no one has said anything. Also I requested to go part time but was told they could only give me two days a week when as a casual, I was working four. And I believe that is actually illegal under the Fairwork Act. When you go casual to permanent, your hours have to be similar/ the same. Also, they promote themselves has a non-profit organisation but it turns out that they are more a money making business and there was an article about this organisation and the way they treat their clients. It was not a positive article. It came out this year.
I think they're morally wrong now and a lot of the way they work, goes against my values as well. I work in disability and I love the actual job but I really dislike the company now. I've been very ill recently so I haven't been able to work and it's been a bit of a relief. But I don't know if I should go back or just quit? Thanks for reading! :)
