Something’s not right

I don’t know where

I don’t know where

I don’t really know where to post. It’s all to confusing and too hard at the moment but still really needing connection. Had a busy day today. I called in this morning to see my SW, my old SW and my old old SW. they all happened to be in the office when I stopped by mainly to drop off my survey papers. I wrote a lot and wanted to make sure the executive people got it. I asked if I could still receive support while away and they said most definitely, they will still call.

Then got new wipers put on my car.

I then learnt a very valuable lesson! My new car doesn’t go as far on an empty tank of fuel!! Yep I ran out of fuel on a busy road. Urgh. I knew it was that when it rolled to a stop. Thankfully my friend was home and not in some other country and she came and got me and I got a Jerry full of fuel. Lesson learnt!

washed the car and then home to pack more. Parent teacher interviews and then back to pack more.

im tired. Haven’t sat down much. And feeling grateful we didn’t leave today cause of the big firery truck crash near goulburn. 6 trucks involved. Hopefully the roads are opened again by tomorrow.

@Snowie @Eve7 missing you both so much and our chats. Been nice chatting to you @EternalFlower @Chasingsunsets will still be around while I’m away.. probably needing the connection more than ever. Looking forward to going away, but it’s confronting and not under the greatest of circumstances.

I really hope you’re all ok. I know it’s difficult times around here.

Re: I don’t know where

Hi @Bow I am sorry to be answering so late but thought I’d check in before bed and wish you a very safe journey tomorrow. I was pleased to read your post as I sure am missing you and @Snowie a lot. Hopefully this will all be sorted soon.

My sister and I have booked a trip away for a few days at the end of July. I’ll tell you where on my return but it’s in WA (not Perth).

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow and the whole time you’re away.

Lots of love ❤️

I have to say you've had an extremely busy day. Wipers, running out of petrol, packing and PT interviews. All extremely stressful (I must tell you that although I'm now officially poor 😕 I really don't miss those bloody interviews)

As for petrol I would have turned to RAA or equivalent.

Travel safely and read you when you're back.

@Bow

It makes sense that you are feeling tired and a bit unsure where to put everything tonight. You have had a very full day, both practically and emotionally.

Seeing your SW, your old SW and your old old SW, handing over something important, getting the car sorted, running out of fuel, packing, doing parent teacher interviews, watching the road situation and preparing to go away is a lot for one person to carry in a single day.

I am really glad they said you can still receive support while you are away. That sounds like an important anchor. Going away can be something you look forward to and something that feels confronting at the same time, especially when it is not happening under easy circumstances. Both things can be true.

The fuel moment sounds stressful, but also very human. Lesson learnt, friend came through, fuel went in, and you got moving again. That is a good reminder that when something goes wrong, the next step does not have to be perfect. It just has to be the next useful step.

Maybe tonight does not need to be about sorting everything out. It may just be about lowering the load. Sit down properly, drink something, eat if you need to, rest your body and let the rest be handled in smaller pieces. Sometimes life is not fixed all at once. It is managed one step, one choice and one breath at a time.

It also makes sense that you are needing connection more than ever. Missing @Snowie and @Eve7, and staying connected with @EternalFlower and @Chasingsunsets, sounds like part of what helps you feel steadier. Needing people is not a weakness. It is part of staying supported when things feel too big.

You do not have to post in the perfect place for your need for connection to be real. You reached out, and that matters.

I hope tonight gives you a softer landing after such a huge day. One bag, one rest, one message, one safe step at a time.
