Something’s not right

Newbie here!

Newbie here!

Hey I have just joined as lately I have feel very disconnected from everyone close to me. I’m 48 suffer from anxiety and depression but have been pretty stable the last few years. I am a daughter of a Vietnam vet and I have lived through trauma and grief most of my life.

the last 6 months both mum and dad have declined significantly, but this last month I don’t know if I am burnt out or what but I have found myself in this weird world of feeling nothing,

am not sad or angry, just meh! I can’t explain it. It’s not like when my mental illness is having a visit or moment it’s different.

so I don’t know what I am after maybe connection that I am not getting from my closest people or to hear others having similar experiences. But am hoping to gain some light and hope by joining and finding out stuff I guess.

Sounds like a Trauma Response https://icd.who.int/browse/2024-01/mms/en?fbclid=IwY2xjawEbtjVleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHfTdTpIjIZFEPSxtozQxMO_ZpqyUV4MdmMQHxl1DkTktDjHFa0Ky8jbK8Q_aem_JTuaK0Wb69jP-FJZ1HEi8Q#585833559

Particularly if you are late 40s. Other differentials would usually have a much earlier onset

Intergenerational Trauma can also be handed down via epigenetics https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6127768/
