We're moving SANE Forums to our new platform
Hello Forumites,
We're excited to share that SANE Forums is moving to SANE's own hosting platform on Tuesday 23 June 2026.
This is an important step in the future of the Forums and will give us greater flexibility over the platform's design, functionality and future development, allowing us to respond more quickly to community needs and continue improving the Forums over time.
Planned downtime
To complete the move, SANE Forums will be temporarily unavailable from: 9:00am Monday 22 June until 12:00pm Tuesday 23 June.
We apologise for the disruption and encourage you to access alternative supports during this time. For immediate mental health support, please call Lifeline (24hrs) on 13 11 14.
What will be different from 23 June?
We’ve recreated the community structure on the new site, so the community experience will look and feel very familiar.
Our priority for the 23 June has been to bring across the features most frequently used by the community, so you'll still be able to browse discussions, connect with other members, join events, and access resources and support as you do today.
Development work will continue after launch as we continue to bring additional functionality across over the coming weeks.
To prepare for the update, we've taken the opportunity to review the platform and retire a small number of features that were rarely used, duplicated existing functionality or not adding value to the community.
Partner sites
Some improvements have been made to our Forum partner sites. These changes won't affect your Forums experience.
A small number of inactive partner sites will also be retired. If you originally joined through a retired site, you'll automatically be redirected to saneforums.org and will be able to continue logging in and using the Forums as normal.
Need help after launch?
While we don’t anticipate any issues arising from this update, if you experience any technical issues, please let us know via our Report a Technical Issue form here: https://www.sane.org/technical-feedback. This will help us investigate and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
