EMDR
Is anyone able to help with finding an EMDR psychologist in [edited by moderator] Melbourne? My current psychologist says he isn't trained in it so he has to refer me to someone else.

Hey @16sundayz ,
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, members are not permitted to recommend or name a psychologist on the forums, however, feel free to look here: https://psychology.org.au/find-a-psychologist
Despite your psych not being trained in it, can they refer you to someone who is?

Hi @16sundayz
I checked back through your posts and saw https://saneforums.org/t5/Recovery-Club/Dissociation/m-p/725446
I assume that you know EMDR can cause issues for dissociative clients. It used to be entirely contraindicated. They have work arounds in the 2020s, but the clinician needs additional training on working safely with dissociative clients
